D.C. Police Search For Carjackers Armed With Brick

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspects and the vehicle connected to an armed carjacking that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning at the 2400 Block of L Street in Northwest, D.C.

The incident occurred just before 4:30 am when the suspect targeted the victim, who was seated inside their vehicle at the listed location. One of the suspects used a brick to break the vehicle’s window, allowing both suspects to remove the victim from the vehicle. Following the assault, the suspects escaped the scene, driving away in the victim’s vehicle.

A nearby surveillance camera captured the suspects and the victim’s vehicle. The victim’s vehicle is described as a: “black Ford Expedition, last seen displaying Maryland Tag 1FC8022.” If you have any information about this incident, please take no action but call the police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. This case remains under investigation.
