Atlantic City Police Arrest Wanted Man in Assault Case, Seize Heroin

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ – On Monday, Officers Salvatore Rando and Anthony Abrams from the Atlantic City Police Department arrested Shawn Pettis near New York Avenue on the Boardwalk.

Pettis was wanted following an assault on a woman the previous day, after which the victim sought treatment at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center.

In addition to the arrest, officers found Pettis in possession of 50 bags of heroin. He is now facing charges of simple assault, possession of CDS, and intent to distribute CDS, among others. Pettis was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
