He Crept Behind Her With A Camera as She Walked Up the Subway Steps

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance in identifying an individual involved in an unlawful surveillance incident.

According to police, the incident took place on Friday, July 21, around 6:15 pm at the 5th Avenue MTA ‘F’ train station.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, reported that an unknown male, crouched behind her, pointed his cellphone under her skirt while she was ascending the station’s stairs.

Upon confronting the individual about his behavior, he fled southbound on 6th Avenue. The woman did not sustain any physical injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with light complexion, approximately 45-47 years old, about 5’7”-5’8” tall, weighing 180 pounds, and sporting a salt and pepper goatee. NYPD asked anyone with information about this individual to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
