Student Brings Loaded Gun to School

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department has launched an investigation into a concerning incident at Largo High School on Friday.

Authorities discovered a 16-year-old student had brought a loaded gun onto the school premises. The suspect is being charged as an adult.

According to reports, on Friday at approximately 11:00 am, School Resource Officers were informed of a fight at the school.

During the altercation, several students observed the suspect carrying a firearm. They immediately alerted Prince George’s County Schools security personnel about the alarming situation. As a result of their swift response, the gun was promptly recovered from the student.

The 16-year-old suspect now faces multiple weapons-related charges, including possessing a handgun on their person, carrying a dangerous weapon on school property, having a loaded handgun on their person, and additional charges that have not been specified.
