ROSEDALE, MD — A local man is celebrating a significant windfall after claiming the top prize from a $100,000 Lucky scratch-off ticket. The Rosedale resident is the 35th individual to win the top prize since the ticket’s introduction in September 2021.

Visibly elated, the winner revealed that a simple coin was his tool of choice as he unveiled the winning number. The experience left him in a state of disbelief. “I was shocked. It’s starting to sink in,” he remarked, still coming to terms with the momentous win.

Employed in the medical field, the 63-year-old hasn’t decided how to allocate his newfound wealth. An enthusiast of fishing and crabbing, he is certain about one thing: he intends to continue trying his luck with scratch-offs.

In a piece of advice for others, he stated, “I encourage everyone to play. You can’t win if you don’t play.”

The lucky ticket was purchased from Quick Mart located at 7900 Wise Avenue in Dundalk. In recognition of its role in this stroke of luck, the Baltimore County retailer will be awarded a $1,000 bonus.

Notably, the $30 $100,000 Lucky ticket, which began its journey in September 2021, started with 65 top prizes. With the Rosedale resident claiming the 35th top prize, 30 more $100,000 prizes remain unclaimed. Other prizes ranging from $30 to $200 are still up for grabs.
