TRENTON, NEW JERSEY – Senator Kristin Corrado (R-40) criticized the Murphy administration for their lack of accountability following a Department of Justice (DOJ) report that found New Jersey provided inadequate care to veterans in State-run homes.
“It is evident from the administration’s response that they are not taking responsibility for the poorly managed State-run veterans homes,” said Corrado. “This severe mistreatment happened under Governor Murphy and his administration must be held accountable.”
Corrado further criticized the conditions in the homes as “abhorrent” and blasted the Democratic majority for failing to act when the issues were raised in previous legislative sessions. “The Legislature had an opportunity to address this issue three years ago but failed to do so. It is time to hold the Murphy administration accountable,” concluded Corrado.
