One Dead, Two Injured in Staten Island Stabbing

NEW YORK, NY – Police responded to a violent altercation at 43 Sunnyside Terrace in the 120th Precinct on Friday, resulting in one fatality and two other injured parties.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. on September 22, officers found three males with varying injuries. All were transported by EMS to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment. An 81-year-old male, who sustained stab wounds to the neck and body, was pronounced dead after being transported in critical condition. A 78-year-old male, also with multiple stab wounds, was initially in critical condition but is now stable. A 51-year-old male with lacerations to his hands was in stable condition upon transport.

A 57-year-old male was taken into custody at the scene, and a knife was recovered. The investigation remains ongoing, and the identity of the deceased is being withheld until the family is properly notified.
