OWINGS MILLS, MD – A shelter-in-place order at Stevenson University was lifted after Baltimore County Police Department (BCoPD) responded to a reported assault with injury.

Today, at 6:03 p.m., BCoPD officers arrived at the hundred block of Campus Circle to investigate the assault. The incident prompted the university to instruct its students to shelter in place for a period. The order has since been lifted, but a police presence remains on campus as the investigation continues.

Authorities confirm there is no active shooter involved in this incident. Additional information will be made available as the investigation progresses.
