Armed Carjackers Sought in Midtown Robbery

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is requesting public assistance to identify individuals connected to a robbery that took place in Midtown South. On Monday, September 18, around 02:20 am, a 45-year-old man encountered two unidentified males near West 44 Street and 6th Avenue.

The two male assailants, displaying a firearm and issuing threats, forcibly stole an iPhone and jewelry, estimated at $1,500, from the victim. They then entered a Jeep Compass, driven by an unidentified female accomplice, and fled westbound on West 44th Street.

Descriptions have been provided for the individuals involved. The first male has a medium complexion, was wearing dark-colored pants, a brown t-shirt, a black sweatshirt, multicolored shoes, and used a fanny pack to brandish the firearm.

The second male, also with a medium complexion, wore blue jeans, black Jordan sneakers, a black sweatshirt, and a blue hat. The female has a light complexion and was last seen attired in all black with white sneakers and glasses.

The police department welcomes any relevant information and asked those who can assist the investigation to come forward.
