Moped Bandit Sought in Multiple NYC Robberies

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A series of larcenies occurring across the city has prompted the New York City Police Department to seek public input in identifying an individual using a red moped in multiple incidents.

On Sunday, August 6, a 36-year-old woman was deprived of her cellphone around 01:45 pm in front of 873 Union Avenue.

Similar incidents transpired on Monday, September 11, involving the male moped rider. At around 01:22 pm, he snatched a phone from a 23-year-old woman near Kelly Street and Longwood Avenue.

At approximately 01:24 pm on the same day, a 26-year-old woman in front of 931 East 156 Street, also fell victim to the male.

In all instances, the individual fled the scene without causing physical harm to the victims. Public cooperation in providing any available information on the individual or the incidents is highly encouraged.
