Cumberland Woman Faces Charges for Hit-and-Run Incident

CUMBERLAND, MD – Samantha Leigh Booker, a 35-year-old resident of Cumberland, was served a criminal summons by the Cumberland Police Department last Sunday.

This action was a result of a hit-and-run incident that transpired on Tuesday, October 3, around 2:23 PM.

Officers responded to the first block of Decatur Street after a vehicle reportedly struck a utility pole and then fled the scene.

The subsequent investigation led to the identification of Booker as the suspect.

Charges against her were filed at the District Court of Allegany County. She signed her summons copy and was released, pending trial.
