Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A 42-year-old man died after being hit by a Toyota RAV4 while crossing Georgia Avenue in Northwest D.C. last Thursday, according to Metropolitan Police.

The incident occurred around 2:21 p.m. near the crosswalk at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Ingraham Street. The victim, identified as Wilmer Rosali Canales Ventura of Northwest DC, was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries the following day.

The driver of the RAV4 remained at the scene following the collision. Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are actively investigating the fatality.
