Hero Toledo Cop Recognized for Saving 16-Year-Old from Suicidal Bridge Jump

TOLEDO, OH — A Toledo Police Officer is credited with the rescue of a 16-year-old from the Martin Luther King Bridge.

On November 6, after receiving a call about an individual on the bridge’s railing, Officer Wynn found a distressed teen in a precarious position. Displaying quick thinking and compassion, Officer Wynn engaged in dialogue with the youth and physically pulled him to safety.

Following the rescue, Officer Wynn provided support to the teenager, helping him access the necessary treatment resources. The Toledo Police Department highlighted the incident to showcase the dedication officers have to serving and protecting all community members.
