Man Assaulted and Robbed in Broad Daylight on Woodbine Street

BROOKLYN, NY — A 34-year-old man became the victim of an assault and robbery while walking on Woodbine Street in Brooklyn, authorities report. The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 2:25 p.m.

According to the police, an unidentified assailant attacked the man from behind, using the handle of a knife to strike his head. The assailant then forcibly took the man’s wallet and backpack before fleeing westbound on Woodbine Street.

The victim received medical attention at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition. The suspect is described as a 5’8” male with a light complexion, medium build, facial hair, and glasses, last seen in a blue baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white sneakers. The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
