Suspect Charged for Slashing Tires of Cars on Hylan Boulevard

STATEN ISLAND, NY – The New York City Police Department seeks public assistance in locating Louis Gonzalez, 43, of 155 Locust Avenue, Staten Island, NY. Gonzalez faces multiple charges including six counts of Criminal Mischief and six counts of Harassment.

On November 3, 2023, around 1:44 PM, an unidentified individual reportedly damaged six vehicles in the area of Bryant Avenue and Hylan Boulevard. The vehicles, including a 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan, a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a 2019 Acura sedan, a 2023 Toyota sedan, and two marked police vehicles, were found with punctured tires. The suspect then fled northbound on Hylan Boulevard. There were no injuries reported.

The incident, under the jurisdiction of the 122 Precinct, has led to a city-wide search. The NYPD has released media with the suspect’s details, urging anyone with information about Gonzalez’s whereabouts to come forward. The department emphasizes the importance of community involvement in ensuring public safety and the resolution of this case.
