Two Men Arrested in Mechanicsville Waffle House Shooting

MECHANICSVILLE, VA – Early Sunday, two men were arrested following a shooting at a Waffle House in Mechanicsville, Hanover County.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the 7400 Sandy Lane restaurant around 2:30 a.m. after a fight broke out.

A woman, injured with a gunshot wound to her upper torso, was discovered at the scene. She sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital.

One of the men faces charges of malicious wounding, while the other is accused of obstruction of justice.

The identities of the suspects remain undisclosed. The incident occurred just north of Mechanicsville Turnpike. The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at (804) 365-6140 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
