Laurel Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest for Weapons Violation

LAUREL, MD – On November 29, Milton Forrest Graves Jr., a 28-year-old resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, was arrested in Laurel following a traffic stop that revealed a weapons offense.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. in the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road. Graves Jr. was initially stopped for an equipment violation on his white Chevrolet Impala. Upon investigation, it was discovered that he had an open warrant. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded stolen handgun.
