Two Dead in Murder-Suicide At Camelback Mountain Resort

TANNERSVILLE, PA – Pocono Township Police Officers were called to a domestic disturbance involving firearms at 21 Ski Side Drive, Tannersville, on Tuesday at 6:33 PM. The location was identified as Mountain’s Edge at Camel Back, a resort of villas near the base of the popular Camel Back Mountain resort.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Kyle Campbell Worrell, 39, and Leilani Ramos, 36, both sustaining gunshot wounds. Worrell was declared deceased at the scene, while Ramos succumbed to her injuries at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg.

Autopsies conducted on Wednesday by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office revealed multiple gunshot wounds as the cause of Ramos’ death, classified as a homicide.

Campbell-Worrell’s death, due to a gunshot wound to the head, was ruled a suicide. This event is an isolated case of domestic violence, posing no threat to the public.

The Pocono Township Police Department continues to investigate the motive behind the incident.
