VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – A shooting incident at Lineberry Park, Virginia Beach, has led to the arrest of two suspects on Wednesday.
On November 9, around 6:15 PM, the Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) was alerted to gunfire at the park. Officers found evidence of the shooting but no individuals were present at the scene.
A local hospital later reported a 41-year-old male with a gunshot wound, linked to this incident.
The shooting occurred during a marijuana transaction. VBPD’s Robbery Detectives identified Shyria Parham, 23, of Newport News, and Shaquille Pugh, 26, of Virginia Beach, as suspects.
They face charges including Aggravated Malicious Wounding and Attempted Robbery. Parham has an additional charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
