Galloway Township Police Issue Warrant for Suspect in Stabbing Incident

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Galloway Township Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Charles D. Cook III, 42, of Galloway Township, following a violent incident that occurred on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Cook is wanted on charges of robbery, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses.

Officers responded to a call at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division Emergency Room, where a 48-year-old male victim from Galloway Township reported being attacked. The victim, who sustained multiple stab wounds to his face and arm, informed officers that he was heading to a local motel to meet an acquaintance when an unknown male emerged from a nearby wooded area. The suspect, later identified as Cook, brandished a knife and demanded money, leading to a physical altercation.

Detectives from the Galloway Township Police Department, along with the initial patrol units, conducted a forensic investigation at the crime scene. Their efforts led to the positive identification of Charles D. Cook III as the assailant.
