Dover Police Arrest Three Men in Connection with Home Invasion

DOVER, DELAWARE — The Dover Police Department has successfully apprehended three individuals, Jaymere Lewis, 27, of Smyrna, DE, and Dover residents Emory Cannon and Morris Savage, both 30, for their involvement in a home invasion and related crimes stemming from a February 14 incident.

Following a thorough investigation, detectives identified Lewis, Cannon, and Savage as suspects and secured arrest warrants for them on February 20. Lewis was arrested without incident on February 21 at the Dover Probation and Parole office, subsequently processed, and arraigned at the Dover Police Department. He is currently held at SCI on a $147,000 cash bail, facing charges including Home Invasion Burglary First Degree and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, among others.

On February 28, investigators learned that Savage and Cannon were aboard a train to Los Angeles, California. In a coordinated effort with Amtrak and the Los Angeles Police Department Crime Impact Team, both were apprehended at the Amtrak Station in Los Angeles. They are now awaiting extradition to Delaware to face charges related to the home invasion.
