78-Year-Old Woman Killed in Staten Island Crash

STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK — A tragic vehicle collision occurred on Friday morning at the intersection of Van Duzer Street and Baring Place, resulting in one fatality.

Mary Bullock, a 78-year-old Staten Island resident, was identified as the deceased. The incident involved Bullock’s 1998 Volvo sedan colliding with a 2017 Hyundai SUV. After the initial collision,

Bullock’s vehicle struck a utility pole. She was transported to Staten Island University Hospital North, where she was pronounced dead. The occupants of the Hyundai, a 41-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger, were unharmed. The NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is conducting an ongoing investigation, with no arrests made at this time.
