WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Wall Township Police Department reported several arrests resulting from various incidents.
On April 2nd, at 1:00 am, Officer Tyler Martin conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 35 at 16th Ave, leading to the arrest of Alan Slaughter, 34, of Wall Township, on an active local warrant. Slaughter was processed and taken to the Monmouth County Jail.
Later that day, at 7:30 pm, Officer Martin responded to a shoplifting incident at Foodtown on Hwy 35, arresting Christina Buonocore, 55, also of Wall Township. Buonocore was processed and released with a scheduled court appearance.
At 10:15 pm on the same day, Christopher Engleke, 39, of Wall Township, was arrested by Officer Alexandra Clayton for criminal mischief. Engleke was processed and released with a future court date.
On April 7th, at 12:06 am, Officer Martin made another traffic stop on Hwy 34, arresting Rachel Kimball, 38, of Lakewood, for driving while intoxicated. Kimball was processed and released according to John’s Law.
Additionally, on April 7th, at 3:00 pm, Officer Kevin Wagner arrested Thomas McManus, 65, of Shrewsbury for shoplifting at the Shop Rite on Hwy 34. McManus was processed and released with a court date pending.
John’s Law was applied in the case of driving while intoxicated, requiring police to impound the operator’s vehicle for up to 12 hours post-arrest. To be released from custody, the arrestee must arrange for someone to take responsibility for their care, ensuring they do not drive until sober.
