Bronx Man Arrested for Daylight Robbery of Elderly Woman

BRONX, NY – A 23-year-old male was arrested on charges of robbery at approximately 5:30 PM within the 43rd Precinct. The suspect, identified as David Jenkins, resides at 1775 Bruckner Boulevard in the Bronx.

The incident, reported to police, occurred on Monday morning, when a 77-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed. The victim was exiting an elevator at 2460 Bronxwood Avenue around 8:30 AM when an unknown assailant knocked her to the ground and took her wallet.

The suspect fled the scene on a blue Citibike and was later spotted entering 920 Mace Avenue. Fortunately, the victim sustained no injuries.
