Drug Raid at Linthicum Hotel Leads to Arrest

LINTHICUM, MD—An extensive narcotics distribution investigation by detectives from the Western District has culminated in a major arrest and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs. On April 17, 2024, a search warrant was executed at the La Quinta Inn on 1734 Nursery Road, leading to the arrest of 27-year-old Avic Tadeusz Garcelon of Annapolis.

The raid resulted in the recovery of various drugs including approximately 1.16 kilograms of cocaine, 1,886 Alprazolam pills, 258.38 grams of ketamine, 214.05 grams of MDMA, 80 Fentanyl pills, and 90.45 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms. Authorities also seized a Smith & Wesson M&P Bodyguard .380 handgun, $16,433 in cash, two .380 live rounds, and three digital scales with drug residue.

Garcelon is currently in custody, facing multiple charges related to the possession and distribution of controlled substances. This arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
