Staten Island Man Injured in Attack and Robbery

STATEN ISLAND, NY — A 51-year-old man was assaulted and robbed by two individuals on Monday, April 29, near the intersection of Stanley Avenue and Jersey Street. The incident occurred around 8:20 PM when the victim was approached from behind by the assailants.

The attackers, one armed with a knife, forcibly took the victim’s wallet and cellphone. During the encounter, the victim attempted to resist, resulting in a scuffle that left him with a laceration on his left hand. After the assault, the perpetrators fled towards Jersey Street.

The first assailant is described as a young male, around 20 years old, with a medium complexion and build, last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, black ripped jeans, and red and white sneakers. The second is also about 20, with a dark complexion and slim build, wearing a black hooded coat with tan fur around the collar, black pants, and black and blue sneakers.

The victim declined medical treatment at the scene. Authorities are actively searching for the two individuals and request that anyone with information come forward to assist with the investigation.
