Failed Game Stop Scam Lands Perp on Police Wanted List

ONEONTA, NY — The New York State Police are requesting public assistance in identifying an individual involved in a theft at a GameStop store in Oneonta on February 26. According to authorities, the suspect concealed several electronic items in his jacket and attempted to return them at the counter.

However, he ultimately left the store with the items without completing the return.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the New York State Police at (607) 561-7600. The NYSP hopes that with the public’s help, they can successfully identify and locate the individual involved.
