Puppy Stolen In D.C., Bandit Caught On Camera

WASHINGTON, DC – Detectives are calling for community assistance to identify a suspect involved in a dog theft in Northeast Washington. The incident occurred on Thursday, around 4:10 p.m., when a suspect took a dog named Bruno from the 1600 block of Gales Street and fled the area.

Bruno, a 10-month-old German Shepherd and Pitbull mix, was last seen wearing an American flag bandana. Photos of the suspect and Bruno are available for identification.

The D.C. Metro Police Department urges anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to refrain from approaching the suspect but to contact them at (202) 727-9099 or send a tip via text to 50411.

The department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
