ALLENTOWN, PA—District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan and Police Chief Charles Roca have announced the arrest of two men in connection with a homicide in Allentown.
Grelvis Estevez Cabrera, from Bethlehem, and Carlos Nathaniel Landesta-Agramonte, from Allentown, face charges related to the murder of Angel Martinez-Velez. Both are accused of Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Homicide, a first-degree felony, and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, a second-degree misdemeanor.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on June 1, at Fountain Park, located at 924 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Responding to reports of gunfire, police officers discovered 25-year-old Martinez-Velez dead from multiple gunshot wounds on the basketball court. His death has been officially ruled a homicide by the Lehigh County Coroner.
Eyewitnesses to the crime reported seeing a dark-colored Honda and a white car involved in the incident. The suspect was described as wearing a red jacket, black pants, and a mask. Following the incident, city surveillance cameras captured two vehicles matching the descriptions given, speeding away from the scene together.
