Utica Police Arrest Man After Knife Threat and Robbery

UTICA, NY – On June 3, Utica Police responded to an incident on the 600 block of South St, where a male was reported to have threatened another with a knife. The suspect had fled the scene before the arrival of the police but was later apprehended with the help of Oneida County Probation.

The investigation revealed that during the confrontation, the suspect not only threatened the victim with a knife but also stole the victim’s wallet, which contained money and credit cards. Identified as 29-year-old David Santalucia, the suspect has now been charged with menacing in the first degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and grand larceny in the fourth degree.
