Car Thieves Wanted After Two Cars Stolen in D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC — A vehicle theft in Southeast escalated to two armed carjackings, prompting a call for public assistance in identifying the suspects.

On Sunday, June 30, at approximately 6:08 p.m., the victim discovered their vehicle missing from the 2500 block of Savannah Street, Southeast. Detectives later found that two suspects had entered the vehicle and fled the scene. The vehicle has since been recovered.

The stolen vehicle was involved in two armed carjackings:

  • Tuesday, July 2, at approximately 12:49 a.m. in the 1900 block of Calvert Street, Northwest
  • Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 2:45 a.m. in the 2200 block of 8th Street, Northwest

Photos of the vehicle theft suspects were captured by surveillance cameras.
