STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—In a heartwarming display of integrity, a Stafford County resident’s forgotten cash was recovered thanks to the diligent efforts of local law enforcement and a Walmart employee. The incident, which has garnered positive attention, occurred at the Walmart located at 11 Village Parkway.

On Wednesday, after completing a transaction at the self-checkout, a resident inadvertently left behind $40 in cash. Upon realizing the oversight, Deputy R.W. Stamm was dispatched to assist. A review of the store’s surveillance footage revealed that a conscientious employee had found the money and secured it in the loss prevention office, ensuring it was safely returned to its rightful owner.
