NYPD Seeks Suspect in Daylight Robbery in Queens

QUEENS, NY — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect involved in a robbery that occurred in the afternoon on Monday, July 29, 2024. At approximately 3:30 PM, a 23-year-old male was robbed at the rear of 134-49 Springfield Boulevard.

According to police reports, the victim was engaged in a conversation with an unidentified male who abruptly snatched a white envelope containing $1,700 from him. The suspect then fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on 134th Avenue. Fortunately, the victim was not injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last observed wearing a light blue durag, a black t-shirt with a graphic on the front, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.

Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward to help with the ongoing investigation.
