Accident Shuts Down Portions of Route 4 in Huntingtown

HUNTINGTON, MD – A motor vehicle accident has caused significant road closures on Route 4 in Huntingtown. As of the latest update at 12:55 p.m., northbound Route 4 at Main Street has reopened, but southbound Route 4 remains shut down at Bowie Shop Road.

The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office initially reported the crash earlier today, warning drivers to expect delays. Authorities are urging motorists to use caution when traveling through the area.

Emergency responders, including the Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department, are on the scene, and the investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. Further updates will be provided as available.
