Motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash in Philadlphia

PHILADELPHIA — A 34-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving a vehicle and a box truck on Woodhaven Road (Route 63) near Thornton Road on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. The crash occurred at approximately 3:01 p.m. while all vehicles involved were traveling eastbound.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic 20 at 3:19 p.m. His identity has not been released pending family notification.

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Woodhaven Road have been closed as police conduct an investigation into the fatal accident. No further details have been provided at this time.

The investigation is ongoing, and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
