GOSHEN, N.Y. — Two men from Port Jervis have pleaded guilty to drug-related charges in Orange County Court, District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced Tuesday. The guilty pleas stem from separate cases involving the sale of crack cocaine in Middletown and Port Jervis.
Taino Lopez, 26, pled guilty on Monday to criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. Lopez admitted to selling crack cocaine to an undercover Middletown police officer in February 2024. Under the terms of the plea agreement, Lopez is expected to be sentenced to five years in prison, followed by three years of post-release supervision. His sentencing is scheduled for November 4.
In a separate case, Carroll Dolshun, 38, pled guilty to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. Dolshun was arrested after selling cocaine to an individual at his Port Jervis residence in late 2022 and early 2023. Law enforcement later executed a search warrant at his home, recovering narcotics, scales, and packaging materials. Dolshun is expected to receive a four-year prison sentence with post-release supervision. His sentencing is set for October 29.
Both cases were part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the region.
