Queens, NY – Rahlik Pinnock has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for stabbing a man in Jamaica, Queens, in February 2022. The incident occurred following an attempt by Pinnock to solicit the victim’s girlfriend for sex outside a liquor store on Sutphin Boulevard.
Officers found the victim with severe stab wounds to his chest and arm, necessitating extensive medical treatment.
District Attorney Melinda Katz commented on the case, highlighting that Pinnock trailed the victim and his girlfriend to their home and inflicted life-threatening injuries. After evading capture for 16 months, Pinnock was apprehended in Pennsylvania before being returned to New York for prosecution.
Katz expressed gratitude to the NYPD and her office’s prosecutors for achieving a resolution in the case.
Pinnock, aged 35 and residing on 115th Road in Jamaica, had pleaded guilty on September 25 to first-degree assault. Queens Supreme Court Justice Michelle Johnson sentenced him, including five years of post-release supervision.
Pinnock’s encounter with the victim began late on February 1, 2022, when he made advances towards the woman and subsequently stalked her.
