Bridge closure over I-95 in Stamford to begin Monday

by Breaking Local News Report

STAMFORD, Conn. — The Wilson Street Bridge over I-95 will be closed to all traffic starting Monday, according to a statement from the Stamford Police Department. The closure, part of a Connecticut Department of Transportation project, is expected to last until November 25.

Detour signs will be posted in the area to guide motorists around the construction zone. The department has advised drivers to plan for alternate routes during the closure period.

The project is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements along the heavily traveled I-95 corridor. Local officials have asked residents to exercise caution while navigating detours.

Further updates on the project will be shared by the Stamford Police Department as the reopening date approaches.
