Body found in Musconetcong River in Holland Township

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A body was discovered in the Musconetcong River in Holland Township on Sunday, October 27, prompting an investigation by local authorities. The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and the Holland Township Police Department announced the discovery, which was reported around 5:15 p.m. by a fisherman in a shallow section of the river.

According to officials, members of the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and the Holland Township Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene to assist in the recovery. Initial findings suggest that the individual had been deceased for several weeks before being found, though the identity and gender of the deceased have not yet been determined.
