BALTIMORE, Md. — A tanker truck overturned on Thursday morning along Maryland Route 295 in the Lansdowne-Baltimore Highlands area, leading to significant traffic disruptions in both directions.

Baltimore County Police reported delays near the crash site, which prompted temporary closures of northbound lanes while emergency crews responded. By late morning, northbound lanes had reopened, according to updates from authorities.

An initial investigation raised concerns about the tanker’s contents, but officials later determined the liquid being transported was non-hazardous. No injuries or additional public safety risks were reported in connection with the incident.

“Motorists can expect delays along 295 in both directions,” the Baltimore County Police Department wrote in a Facebook post alerting commuters to the situation.

Traffic flow has since been restored, but authorities have advised drivers to remain cautious while traveling through the area.
