GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A longtime lottery player from Glen Burnie added another highlight to her 25-year lottery journey by claiming a $27,148.50 Racetrax prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters.

The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, said she was shocked when she realized she had won after scanning her ticket at home. “I jumped out of bed and screamed!” she said, describing the moment she discovered her good fortune.

The prize is one of many memorable wins for the woman and her husband, who have played the Lottery together for over two decades. Their past successes include a second-chance prize that earned them an all-expenses-paid trip, adding to their growing list of lucky moments.

The winning ticket was purchased during a routine evening stop at a Wawa store on Veterans Highway in Millersville. The retailer will receive a $400 bonus for selling the ticket.

The winner plans to use her prize money for practical purposes, sharing, “I’m going to pay some bills.”
