BALTIMORE — A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month that left one person dead and another injured in the city’s Eastern District, police announced Thursday.

The suspect, Dakwane Cole of Baltimore, was apprehended on November 25 in the 1800 block of North Montford Avenue, the same location where the November 6 shooting occurred. He has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Officers originally responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area at approximately 10:43 a.m. on November 6 and found two victims with gunshot wounds. Bianca Nelson, 30, succumbed to her injuries, while a 31-year-old male victim survived after being transported to a local hospital.

Investigators allege that Cole shot both victims during the incident. Details about the circumstances leading to the shooting have not been disclosed.

Authorities are encouraging anyone with additional information about the case to contact detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
