New Rochelle celebrates the season with holiday market, festive events

New Rochelle has transformed into a festive wonderland with markets, music, and family fun to welcome the holiday season.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — The 2024 Holiday Market in New Rochelle is in full swing, offering residents and visitors an array of festive activities and shopping opportunities through December 22.

Located at the New Rochelle Train Station, the market features over 45 vendors, live performances, food trucks, and an outdoor ice-skating rink. With a focus on supporting Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE), the event highlights local makers and entrepreneurs. Hours are weekdays from 4 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 12 to 8 p.m.

Free two-hour parking is available at various downtown lots throughout December, including special parking for market attendees at the Transit Center Garage. Holiday festivities also include the “Rudolph Rocs New Ro” event on Saturday, December 7, at Ruby Dee Park, followed by the Chamber of Commerce Annual Holiday Lighting at Memorial Plaza at 4:30 p.m.

Santa will make multiple appearances, arriving on a firetruck at the Holiday Lighting and hosting the Santa Parks Tour on December 14, starting at 9:30 a.m. The holiday season culminates with the Kids Roc’N New Year Party on December 31 at Ryan Sinkfield Park at 11 a.m. and the second annual New Year’s Eve Kickoff Party at Anderson Plaza beginning at 8 p.m.
