Philadelphia police searching for missing 15-year-old girl

The search is underway for a 15-year-old Philadelphia girl who went missing from her high school Friday afternoon.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help to locate Nyla Jefferson, a 15-year-old girl who was last seen on Friday afternoon in the city’s Northeast section.

Nyla, who resides on the 6300 block of Dittman Street, was last spotted around 2:30 p.m. at Lincoln High School, located at 3201 Ryan Avenue, police said.

She is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a thick gray hoodie with red writing on the front, black pants, and white-and-black Nike sneakers.

The Philadelphia Police Department is urging anyone with information about Nyla’s whereabouts to contact the Northeast Detective Division at 215-686-3154 or call 911.
