HESTER, NJ – A New Jersey Lottery player is celebrating a $50,000 win after purchasing a lucky Powerball ticket at a Krauser’s store in Chester. The ticket matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball in the Saturday, Dec. 7, drawing.
The winning ticket was sold at the Krauser’s located at 95 West Main Street in the Morris County borough. The store has now gained attention as a hotspot for lottery hopefuls looking to replicate the winner’s success.
The winning numbers for Saturday’s drawing were 01, 31, 43, 55, and 57, with the Power Ball number 22 and a Power Play multiplier of 2X. While the top $256 million jackpot was claimed by a New York ticket holder, the New Jersey player’s win marks one of the state’s biggest prizes from the night.
Across New Jersey, 24,359 additional players secured smaller prizes totaling an estimated $128,773, ranging from $4 to $200. The next Powerball jackpot has reset to $20 million, with the next drawing scheduled for Monday night.
The Chester ticket holder has yet to come forward to claim their prize, but lottery officials encourage all players to check their tickets carefully.
