Clarkstown police welcome K9 Drogo to the force

by Breaking Local News Report

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. — The Clarkstown Police Department has announced the addition of its newest K9 member, Drogo, a 19-month-old Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix from Hungary, who recently graduated from a 17-week patrol K9 school hosted by the Yonkers Police Department.

K9 Drogo and his handler, Officer Levy, successfully completed the rigorous training program, which prepares teams for patrol duties such as tracking suspects and missing persons. Their graduation brings Clarkstown’s K9 Unit to three full-time teams dedicated to serving the community.

In the coming months, Drogo and Officer Levy will undergo additional training to achieve certification in narcotics detection, further enhancing their capabilities as a team.

The department expressed pride in their new K9 team and invited residents to join in congratulating them on their achievement.
