Man injured in shooting on W. York Street; police investigate

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A 26-year-old man is in stable condition after being shot multiple times in the 2000 block of W. York Street on Monday evening, police said.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m., and the victim was transported to Temple University Hospital by private vehicle at 8:25 p.m. Authorities reported that the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body but is expected to survive.

No weapons have been recovered, and no arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning. The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and the scene is being held as investigators work to gather evidence.
