Beloved Goldendoodle stolen in Northeast DC leaves owner desperate for answers

WASHINGTON, DC — Police are asking for the public’s help to locate “Kodi,” a Goldendoodle taken Sunday afternoon in Northeast DC, leaving its owner desperate for answers.

The theft occurred around 12:00 p.m. in the 200 block of 26th Street, Northeast. Kodi, who wandered off, was taken by a suspect who fled the scene shortly after.

Kodi is described as a Goldendoodle missing part of its left paw with a split left ear. At the time of the theft, Kodi was wearing a gray reflector vest and a Christmas bow tie.

Anyone who has seen Kodi or has information about the incident is urged to call police at (202) 727-9099 or submit tips anonymously by texting 50411. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest or conviction.
