49-Year-Old Man Shot, Dead in the Bronx in Early Morning Shooting

NEW YORK — A 49-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the Bronx, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 1:54 a.m. and arrived at 1735 Fowler Avenue, where they found Trevor Hughes with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Emergency medical services transported Hughes to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.

Police have not released further details about a suspect or motive in the fatal shooting.
