by Breaking Local News Report

STAMFORD, Conn. — The Stamford Police Department is refuting claims of a shootout in the High Ridge area, clarifying that no gunfire occurred during an arrest tied to an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Authorities said the arrest involved the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Stamford Police Special Response Team. No further details were immediately released.

“The Stamford Police Department is aware of misinformation circulating regarding an alleged ‘shootout’ … We want to assure the public that no such incident occurred,” officials said in a statement Thursday.

Police urged residents to rely on official department statements for accurate updates and said additional details will be released when possible.
